Ballet Summer Festival
Moscow State Ballet Theatre and its director Lyudmila Titova invite muscovites and visitors to the new Ballet Summer Festival in Mayakovsky Theater in the center of Moscow. In the future we plan to make the festival an annual and international one. The programme includes classical ballets and performances staged by modern Russian and foreign choreographers.
In the year 2018, Russia celebrates the 200th birthday of Marius Petipa, so the Ballet Summer Festival starts with the fascinating masterpiees of the great master, i.e. The Sleeping Beauty, Swan Lake and Nutcracker. The audience will see full-length performances with colorful decorations and costumes. Harmonious work of corps de ballet, virtuosity of the soloists, charming sincerity of the main cast will bring you a lot of pleasure no matter if you are a ballet lover or someone who wants to forget about everyday problems and dive into the magic world of beauty, lightness and overwhelming love.
During the festival in Mayakovsky Theater, visitors can also see a photographic exhibition devoted to P. I. Tchaikovsky, whose music made possible appearance of the masterpieces by Petipa. The photographs were provided by our partners — P.I. Tchaikovsky State House-Museum and Klin Urban District Administration. Welcome to Ballet Summer Festival!
